Terms of Use

1. Service

Sikelia Tools is a collection of browser utilities published under the Sikelia Labs project name. The official service domain istools.sikelialabs.com and the corporate domain is sikelialabs.com. Most tools run locally in your browser; Private Note includes a narrowly scoped encrypted server component.

2. Appropriate use

You may use the tools for ordinary personal, educational and professional utility purposes. Do not use the service to break applicable law, interfere with the service, bypass technical limits, attack other systems, or upload/store content you do not have the right to process.

3. Random results and calculations

Randomisers and calculators are general-purpose utilities. A random output is not a guarantee, professional opinion or authoritative decision. Do not rely on these tools as the sole basis for safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, regulated or other high-consequence decisions.

4. Private Note

Private Note is designed for transient one-time encrypted delivery. For ordinary notes, anyone who obtains the complete share link can attempt to read the note until it is consumed or expires. If the sender enables optional password protection, the password is not included in the link and must be shared separately; the service does not provide password recovery. A weak password may be susceptible to offline guessing by someone who obtains the protected link.

Notes are intentionally unrecoverable after successful consumption, expiry, loss of the required link material or loss of an optional password. Keep another copy of information you cannot afford to lose. Private Note is not a permanent vault, records-retention system or emergency communication service.

5. Availability and warranties

The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn. While Sikelia Labs tests the utilities carefully, no online service can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

6. Intellectual property

The Sikelia Tools interface, original software, branding and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules. Third-party open-source libraries and data remain subject to their respective licences. Using the public tools does not transfer ownership of the service or its source code.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rules that apply in your country of residence.
